Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and grooming with dignity and compassion
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Help with meal assistance and feeding while promoting resident independence
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Document care in a timely, clear manner and participate in shift handoffs
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through attentive care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program or equivalent
• Valid state authorization or ability to obtain required state CNA credentials
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and supporting teamwork across shifts
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to pass background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a state-approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with basic patient care: bathing, toileting, feeding and dressing
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and teammates
• Understanding of infection prevention and resident safety practices
• Detail-oriented documentation and time management
• Team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
