Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist residents with mobility, feeding and personal hygiene while preserving dignity
• Document care, observations and any changes in condition in a timely manner
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists and family members to support coordinated care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Support facility routines such as meal and activity assistance to enhance resident quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania (preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus but enthusiastic newcomers are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and resident-centered approach
• Comfortable with basic clinical tasks such as vital signs and ADL assistance
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents, families and clinical staff
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
• Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
