Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with unit standards and Trinity procedures
• Perform thorough assessments and documentation, including NIHSS stroke assessments when indicated
• Maintain required certifications and participate in competency testing such as TNCC and specialty checklists
• Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotations professionally and reliably
• Verify and maintain licensure and certifications through the License/Certificate Verification process
• Complete all required health screenings and immunizations prior to assignment start to ensure patient and team safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (must be verifiable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC certification and proficiency with NIHSS preferred or required as listed
• Ability to pass Trinity pre-employment screenings including Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and Fit Test
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements: Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and 2-step PPD or IGRA
• Willingness to work every-other-weekend and holiday rotations as required by the contract
• Strong interpersonal and clinical judgment skills with a focus on patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in acute care nursing practices and emergency/trauma fundamentals
• Proficient with NIHSS stroke assessment and trauma nursing principles (TNCC)
• Able to manage certification and credentialing requirements efficiently
• Comfortable with rotating schedules and holiday staffing needs
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy abilities
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to facility-specific competency checklists
