Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing and assisting with daily living activities
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning to promote patient comfort and mobility
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols consistently
• Document patient care in the record promptly and communicate clearly with nurses and other clinicians
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure patients receive nutrition and hydration as directed
• Respond to patient needs and call lights in a timely, courteous manner during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — state credential required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass facility background check, drug screen and required immunizations
• Comfort and willingness to work overnight shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Excellent communication, compassion and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient safety and basic bedside care techniques
• Vital signs measurement and accurate documentation
• Infection prevention and hand hygiene best practices
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across shifts
• Time management and the ability to prioritize during busy overnight periods
