Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours to promote safety and comfort
• Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes promptly and accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans
• Respond quickly to urgent situations and participate in emergency interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication to support recovery and discharge goals

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain state licensure quickly
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred to ensure strong clinical judgement
• Ability to pass standard background check and drug screening
• Current immunizations and TB testing as required by facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills during overnight care
• Medication administration and IV therapy experience
• Proficient documentation and charting practices; ability to learn local EMR quickly
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for seamless handoffs
• Prioritization and time management to handle busy overnight shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy mindset
