Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor, record and report changes in resident condition and vital signs
- Assist nursing staff with daily treatments and timely delivery of care
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care accurately and promptly in resident records
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain state certification
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfort working nights and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in providing hands-on patient care and assisting with ADLs
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
- Basic familiarity with electronic charting and documentation best practices
