Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with safe mobility and transfers, supporting independence whenever possible
- Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting any changes in condition
- Document care activities accurately and communicate with the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Support resident mealtime and provide respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — state-appropriate credentials required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Physical ability to perform patient care tasks and safe lifting/transfer techniques
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care, ADLs, and infection control
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems is a plus
- Good time management and teamwork skills
- Customer service mindset when interacting with residents and families
