Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and proper use of assistive devices to protect residents and coworkers
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments by following infection control and facility protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document care activities thoroughly and timely in resident records
• Assist with mealtime needs, feeding, and monitoring dietary restrictions as instructed
• Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care and resident safety

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care with attention to dignity and privacy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but new grads who meet certification requirements are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, bathing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation assistance
• Infection prevention and proper use of personal protective equipment
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Documentation and basic charting practices
• Customer-service mindset when interacting with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
