Shift Type: Rotating nights including weekends, schedule varies based on department needs; 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts, night)

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care for an assigned group of patients
- Perform rapid triage and clinical assessments to prioritize care in a busy ED
- Initiate and manage emergency interventions according to protocols and standing orders
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to develop and execute patient plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and regulatory compliance
- Advocate for patients and families while educating them about diagnoses and next steps
- Maintain readiness for a variety of emergency presentations through continual skill practice
Qualifications
- Current State of Illinois Nursing License (required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (no prior experience required)
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (required)
- TNCC preferred
- Comfortable working rotating night shifts and weekends with strong clinical judgment
- Comfortable with emergency department pace, triage, and acute patient care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency nursing principles and triage workflows
- Patient assessment and critical thinking under pressure
- Cardiac and respiratory monitoring and basic ECG interpretation
- IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency interventions
- Clear, calm communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
- Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with regulatory standards
