Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled physical therapy care as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a skilled nursing facility
- Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient plans
- Provide consistent, patient-centered interventions that help residents regain function and independence
- Document treatments thoroughly and on time to support continuity of care and productivity targets
- Maintain professionalism onsite, adhere to facility policies and dress code, and support quality outcomes
- Meet productivity expectations and contribute positively to the therapy department’s performance
Qualifications
- Active PTA credential or equivalent required
- 1 to 3 years of PTA experience preferred, with demonstrated competency in a skilled nursing setting
- Comfortable working on-site in a SNF and able to commit to a contract travel assignment
- Ability to meet productivity requirement of 92% and follow company policies and procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with nursing and rehab teams
- Willingness to follow facility dress code of black scrubs
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience in physical therapy interventions for geriatric and post-acute populations
- Familiarity with skilled nursing facility workflows and documentation practices
- Ability to follow care plans, carry out therapeutic exercises, and progress patients appropriately
- Good time management to balance caseload and productivity expectations
- Positive bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills with residents and staff
