Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the patient record
• Assess patient status, identify changes, and escalate concerns to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
• Perform routine procedures and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Maintain clear, timely charting and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (or compact privileges if applicable)
• Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS or other certifications are a plus
• Prior LPN experience preferred; travel LPN experience a plus
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and IV/tube feeding familiarity
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills during high-acuity nights
• Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with multidisciplinary staff
• Time management, organization, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Compassionate patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
