Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care to residents based on individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document responses
• Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
• Support activities of daily living and encourage resident independence
• Communicate with families and interdisciplinary staff with professionalism and empathy
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and uphold facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Maine or compact/state license eligible for Maine
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus depending on unit
• Comfortable with medication administration and nursing documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a travel care team
• Prior experience in long-term care, med-surg, or similar settings preferred but new grads with clinical strength encouraged to apply

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Wound care basics and monitoring for changes in condition
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and charting
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to patient needs
