Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care within the LPN scope, making each patient feel seen and safe
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility policies
• Monitor and record vital signs, patient status changes, and communicate concerns promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living, promoting dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team to implement and update care plans
• Perform routine wound care and basic procedures as appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and documentation
• Support a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Maine, or eligibility for state licensure/compact privileges
• Graduation from an accredited LPN program or equivalent practical nursing education
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screens, and immunization requirements
• Previous experience in long-term care, med-surg, or similar settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic wound care and dressing changes
• Patient assessment and recognition of changes in condition
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and charting
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
• Adherence to infection control and safety best practices
• Collaboration within interdisciplinary care teams
