Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered vascular nursing care for adults and older adults
• Perform vascular assessments, monitor patient status, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, vascular techs, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families on vascular conditions, procedures, post-procedure care, and discharge instructions
• Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity and quality

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in North Carolina or compact RN license where applicable
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; vascular medicine experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working extended day shifts and managing a full patient assignment
• Ability to pass background and health screenings and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, patient-first mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of vascular disease, wound care, and post-procedural monitoring
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
• Skills in patient and family education tailored to vascular health and recovery
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate concerns in a fast-paced environment
• Team collaboration, time management, and critical thinking under pressure
