Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess resident status, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Document care, observations, and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Support resident comfort, dignity, and independence through person-centered care
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and shift handovers to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Previous experience working as an LPN in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing is a plus
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass facility background and health screenings required for placement
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Familiarity with wound care, ADL support, and infection prevention
• Competence with electronic charting and care documentation
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting
