Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to adults
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize/respond to arrhythmias promptly
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, unit staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge needs
• Complete accurate documentation and participate in Trinity specialty competency testing

Qualifications

• Active RN license with license/certificate verification required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Telemetry experience required (documented clinical experience on telemetry units)
• NIHSS preferred
• Completion of required health screenings: fit test, respirator evaluation, vaccinations, 2-step PPD or IGRA, and drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Sound medical-surgical nursing knowledge and bedside assessment
• Ability to prioritize and manage care for multiple patients
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
• Comfort with electronic health record documentation and unit-specific competency testing
