Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children, and families using the nursing process
• Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans while continuously evaluating patient responses
• Serve as the circulating nurse in the OR during obstetrical procedures, ensuring a safe environment and smooth team coordination
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and maintain high standards of professional nursing practice in line with AWHONN guidelines
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and staff to support informed decision-making
• Demonstrate patient-centered behaviors and maintain organized, accurate daily clinical work

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required, including experience circulating in the OR
• BLS certification required
• Comfortable working night shifts and 12-hour schedules
• Willingness to work every 3rd weekend minimum
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with obstetrics, pediatrics, anesthesia, and other care team members

Education

• Active New Hampshire RN license
• BLS certification

• Intrapartum care and Labor & Delivery best practices
• Maternal-Child Health principles and newborn care fundamentals
• Nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation
• Circulating in the operating room during obstetrical procedures

• Accurate documentation and adherence to AWHONN standards
