Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
• Support mobility and safety, including transfers and fall prevention
• Monitor and record vital signs and everyday observations accurately
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and dignified environment for residents
• Participate in care planning and collaborate with nurses and therapists
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful interaction

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent
• Previous experience as a GNA, CNA, or similar role preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic clinical documentation and observation skills
• Infection control and sanitation best practices
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
