Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients and maintain a 2:1 patient ratio as needed
• Perform advanced bedside procedures and care including intubation, central line and arterial line management, and EVD patient care
• Continuously assess and respond to changes in patient condition, implementing interventions promptly
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
• Adhere to unit policies and standard ICU protocols while contributing to a culture of safety and accountability
• Support unit staffing needs by floating to other ICUs, BMT and PCU floors when required

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (candidates without ICU experience will not be considered)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Demonstrated competency with critical care procedures (intubation, central/arterial line care, EVD experience is a plus)
• Comfortable working night shifts and covering weekends as required
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and compassionate patient care mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of ICU standards, monitoring and equipment
• Skilled in airway management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with Meditech EMR for charting and documentation
• Ability to manage central and arterial lines and care for EVD patients
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptable, team-oriented approach with strong clinical judgment
