Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility to preserve dignity and comfort
- Provide compassionate hands-on care while observing and reporting changes in condition to the nursing team
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate findings promptly
- Maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
- Document care provided clearly and timely in the patient record
- Support nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work the 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift and pick up additional per-diem shifts as needed
- Background check and immunizations compliant with facility requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care skills and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Proficiency taking and documenting vital signs
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
- Familiarity with electronic charting and documentation practices
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nurses
