Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized OT treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve daily living skills and independence
• Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians and case managers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home programs and safety
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discharge planning for seamless transitions

Qualifications

• Active Nebraska Occupational Therapy license (required)
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (required upon hire)
• Current clinical competence delivering occupational therapy services in acute or inpatient settings
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Reliable, professional, and able to integrate quickly into established care teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional assessment and goal-oriented treatment planning
• Knowledge of ADL/IADL retraining, splinting basics, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage documentation efficiently
• Good communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Comfortable with discharge planning and patient/family education
