Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide excellent telemetry nursing care to a 37-bed unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes with skill
- Manage medication drips and titrations safely, following unit protocols and coordinating with the team
- Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, PCA and IV pumps, ensuring line integrity and infection prevention
- Support heart cath recovery patients and perform bubble study monitoring as ordered
- Document thoroughly in Meditech EMR to ensure clear communication across disciplines
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain patient ratios and deliver timely, compassionate care
- Use strong critical thinking to prioritize care in a dynamic telemetry environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license (must be eligible to practice in the assignment state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience (telemetry preferred)
- Current BLS required and ACLS required
- Comfort and experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR is strongly preferred
- Experience managing central lines, medication drips, chest tubes, IV/PCA pumps
- Strong critical thinking, independence, and a positive, engaged attitude
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

- Safe management of medication drips and titration
- Central line and chest tube care
- IV and PCA pump operation and troubleshooting
