Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent telemetry nursing care to a 37-bed unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes with skill
• Manage medication drips and titrations safely, following unit protocols and coordinating with the team
• Care for patients with central lines, chest tubes, PCA and IV pumps, ensuring line integrity and infection prevention
• Support heart cath recovery patients and perform bubble study monitoring as ordered
• Document thoroughly in Meditech EMR to ensure clear communication across disciplines
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain patient ratios and deliver timely, compassionate care
• Use strong critical thinking to prioritize care in a dynamic telemetry environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be eligible to practice in the assignment state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience (telemetry preferred)
• Current BLS required and ACLS required
• Comfort and experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR is strongly preferred
• Experience managing central lines, medication drips, chest tubes, IV/PCA pumps
• Strong critical thinking, independence, and a positive, engaged attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
