Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a high-volume ED, including trauma and stroke patients
- Triage and prioritize patients quickly and safely using established protocols
- Perform advanced assessments and interventions consistent with ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC competencies
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in Cerner
- Coach and mentor teammates in real time to maintain high standards of care
- Contribute to positive patient experience using AIDET and clear communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely throughput and safe dispositions
- Operate unit equipment responsibly (e.g., Baxter pumps, GE monitors) and escalate concerns
Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of practice (required)
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience; at least 1 year in an ER setting
- 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or a high-volume ED (preferred/asked-for)
- Current BLS and ACLS before start date
- PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS required before start date; ENPC to be completed within 90 days of hire
- Comfort coaching peers and providing real-time feedback; strong teamwork mentality
- Willingness to float to all sections within the ED
Education
- Active RN license (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency Nursing, trauma care, and stroke care expertise
- High-volume ED experience (>100,000 visits) and familiarity with ED patient ratios
- Proficient with Cerner documentation system
- Skilled with cardiac monitoring and infusion devices (e.g., GE monitors, Baxter pumps)
- Strong triage, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, patient experience focus, and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to coach, mentor, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment
