Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with night and weekend on-call responsibilities (rotating schedule including weekends)

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for surgical patients
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure smooth procedures
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation standards to protect patient safety
- Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly to the team
- Accurately document perioperative care, surgical counts, and patient progress
- Participate in on-call rotations for night and weekend coverage when scheduled
- Support continuous improvement efforts by sharing observations and best practices with colleagues
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and participating in night/weekend on-call rotations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in fast-paced surgical settings
- Willing and available to work a travel contract assignment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
- Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and OR workflow
- Patient assessment and perioperative clinical decision-making
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond in high-acuity situations
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and surgical teams
