Shift Type: Rotating nights (includes weekends), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC — schedule includes every-other-weekend and will vary to meet department needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert emergency nursing care in a high-volume ED using triage and rapid assessment skills
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage alarms and interventions using GE monitors and cardiac monitoring best practices
- Document care accurately and efficiently in Cerner to support continuity and quality
- Deliver compassionate patient communication using AIDET and keep patients and families informed throughout their visit
- Coach and mentor teammates in real time, offering feedback to support team performance and patient safety
- Adapt to changing department needs and float within ED sections to maintain staffing and care standards
- Support stroke and trauma protocols as part of a Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center
Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency department
- Preferred: 2 years experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or a high-volume ED
- Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Experience with Cerner documentation and comfort with cardiac monitoring equipment
- Teamwork mindset with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
Education
- Active RN licensure (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage and rapid assessment in a busy emergency setting
- Cardiac monitoring and management of acute cardiac conditions
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic documentation
- Familiarity with Baxter pumps and GE monitoring systems
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, multicultural ED environment
- Strong communication skills for patient experience and family updates
- Flexibility to work across ED sections and manage varied patient ratios
