Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care at the bedside
- Perform thorough assessments and document clinical findings clearly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
- Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Current basic assessment and clinical skills appropriate for acute care
- Comfortable with medication administration and electronic documentation
- Positive attitude, dependable, and able to work independently on per-diem shifts
- Healthcare facility orientation and any facility-specific competencies completed prior to shift
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Clear, compassionate verbal and written communication
- Comfort with electronic health records and documentation best practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Team-oriented approach and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary staff
