Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night). Rotating schedule including weekends; must work at least 4 weekends per schedule period.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU patients, maintaining safety and comfort during high-acuity situations
- Perform and assist with critical procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line monitoring and care
- Continuously assess patient status and intervene promptly to stabilize and optimize outcomes
- Document patient care accurately in the Meditech EMR to ensure seamless handoffs and team communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families and physicians to develop and execute patient-centered plans of care
- Maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced unit and prioritize care for a 2:1 patient ratio
- Mentor and support fellow nurses while contributing to a positive, accountable team culture
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (TX) required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (must-have experience for this role)
- ACLS certification required
- Comfortable with critical care procedures: intubation, central line, arterial line care
- Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred
- Oncology and/or neuro ICU experience is a plus
- Able and willing to work night shifts and meet weekend coverage expectations
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and triage skills
- Familiarity with standard ICU equipment and monitoring
- Proficient documentation skills in Meditech or similar EMR systems
- Ability to manage complex patients with multi-organ support
- Team player attitude, accountable, and compassionate approach to patient care
- Adaptability to float across ICUs, BMT and PCU floors as needed
