Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, accurate radiation therapy treatments using linear accelerators and simulators
- Perform precise dosimetry checks and assist with block cutting to ensure effective treatment plans
- Position and prepare patients with compassion, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and the allied care team to optimize care
- Document treatments and chart in Cerner accurately and promptly
- Participate in quality assurance, equipment checks and daily safety protocols
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through clear communication and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Current Therapeutic Radiology license issued by the state of California
- ARRT (T) certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapeutic)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in radiation oncology
- Demonstrated experience with linear accelerators, simulators, dosimetry and block cutting
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar charting systems is a plus
Education
