Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care using strong triage and patient-assessment skills
- Document patient encounters accurately in Cerner to ensure seamless continuity of care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage high-volume ED flow and patient ratios
- Coach and give real-time feedback to colleagues to elevate unit performance and patient safety
- Operate and monitor equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE cardiac monitors
- Deliver compassionate patient experience using AIDET and respectful communication throughout visits
- Adapt to diverse clinical situations including trauma and stroke protocols in a Level 2 trauma/comprehensive stroke center
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) practicing in accordance with state requirements
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or a high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS prior to start
- PALS, TNCC, CPI and NIHSS required prior to start; ENPC to be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Comfortable floating across all ED sections and working every-other-weekend as scheduled
- Strong teamwork, communication and coaching abilities
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner documentation and electronic charting workflows
- Skilled in emergency patient triage and rapid assessment
- Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and GE cardiac monitors
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and acute stroke/trauma protocols
- Ability to manage variable patient ratios (typical 4:1; up to 7:1 on behavioral holds)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for a multicultural patient population
