Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and document vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nurse in charge
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote mobility and comfort
• Maintain a clean, respectful, and safe environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Support infection control practices and follow facility protocols for resident safety
• Contribute to resident care plans by reporting observations and changes promptly

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA certification preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working night shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
• Compassionate patient care mindset with strong communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening per facility policy
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Basic infection prevention and control practices
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear communication with interdisciplinary care teams
• Observation and reporting of resident condition changes
