Shift Type: Friday - Monday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day shift; 9-10 hour days)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients in the acute care setting to determine functional status and rehabilitation needs
- Develop individualized, evidence-based care plans to help patients regain independence
- Deliver therapeutic techniques and interventions across orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary cases
- Document thoroughly and efficiently using Cerner PowerChart to ensure continuity of care
- Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, speech therapists, and rehab techs
- Communicate progress and plan of care clearly to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Use patient lifting equipment and safe mobility techniques to promote patient and staff safety
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (must have)
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience (acute care experience preferred)
- Experience or comfort with orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary patient populations is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary acute rehab environment
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in patient evaluation and care plan development
- Skilled delivering a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Experienced with documentation in Cerner PowerChart
- Knowledgeable in safe patient handling and use of lifting equipment (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove)
- Strong communication and care coordination skills across teams
- Ability to manage caseloads in an inpatient acute rehab setting
