Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient condition, documenting findings clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and policy
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient care
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and discharge planning
- Respond to changes in patient status with sound clinical judgment and timely escalation
- Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and handoffs
Qualifications
- Required: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Pennsylvania)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Comfortable with medication administration, IV care, and common inpatient nursing skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Per-diem mindset with flexibility to pick up shifts as needed
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred or equivalent clinical experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical observation skills
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Basic IV and wound care skills
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
