Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and/or elders assigned to your unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document per facility policy
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Support unit workflows by assisting with procedures, admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligibility for state licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred where applicable
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred, especially in medical-surgical or similar settings
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well within a fast-paced team
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and support staff
• Good time management and the ability to adapt to changing patient needs
• Compassionate patient/family education and conflict-resolution skills
