Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document patient assessments, interventions and responses clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up plans
• Respond to emergent situations with calm, evidence-based interventions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible for North Carolina licensure (travel nurses typically obtain state licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (specified in job posting)
• Emergency Department clinical experience or strong acute care background
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or willing to obtain
• Current immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and critical thinking skills in high-acuity settings
• Proficiency with emergency assessments, wound care and IV/med administration
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Familiarity with electronic health records and timely documentation
