Shift Type: Rotating nights including weekends, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC (overnight shift with weekend rotation as described: weekend rotation, scheduling 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage telemetry/PCU patients with vigilance and clinical judgment
- Perform and document IV starts, EKG monitoring, wound care, Foley and line care
- Care for patients with arterial and central lines, maintaining high standards of safety
- Use Cerner EMR and Pyxis for accurate documentation and medication administration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team—MDs, case management, pharmacy, PT/OT—to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Provide compassionate patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Participate in team-based rounds and contribute to unit workflow and quality improvement
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (PCU/Telemetry or acute care)
- BLS required; ACLS to be completed prior to end of orientation (per unit policy)
- Demonstrated skills in IV starts, EKG/telemetry monitoring, wound care, Foley catheter care
- Comfortable caring for patients with central lines (CVL) and arterial lines
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Pyxis preferred
- Preferred: ICU/Stepdown experience and at least 1 year med-surg background
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- IV therapy, peripheral and central line management
- Wound care and use of wound VACs
- Management of arterial lines and Foley catheters
- Medication administration via Pyxis and safe pump management (IV pumps, Baxter feeding pump)
- Use of Nova Stat glucometer and other point-of-care devices
- Team-based care model, strong communication and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic unit caring across med-surg to ICU-level patients
