Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams, including contrast and non-contrast studies, with a focus on patient safety and comfort
• Operate GE MRI equipment efficiently and troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to ensure timely imaging and reporting
• Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and proper shielding procedures during imaging
• Provide compassionate patient education and support before, during, and after scans

Qualifications

• MRI registered (required)
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• Experience with contrast and non-contrast MRI procedures
• Familiarity with GE MRI systems (preferred)
• Experience with Cerner EMR (preferred)
• Breast MRI experience (preferred)
• Current basic life support (BLS) as required by facility policies

Education

• Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program or equivalent training
• Registry/credentialing in MRI (as required by employer)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and contraindications
• Proficiency in MRI imaging protocols and sequence selection
• Comfortable using GE MRI platforms and common peripherals
• Experience documenting in Cerner electronic medical records
• Excellent patient communication and positioning skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient/hospital radiology environment
