Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a busy Level 2 trauma, comprehensive stroke center ED
- Perform rapid, accurate triage and ongoing assessment to prioritize patient needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythm and manage advanced monitoring equipment to detect changes early
- Document care clearly and efficiently using Cerner to ensure continuity and safety
- Coach and mentor colleagues in real time to raise team performance and patient outcomes
- Support patient experience using AIDET and maintain clear communication with patients and families
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a high-volume environment serving a multi-cultural community
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license (state eligibility required)
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Certifications required before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (preferred)
- Comfort with coaching, giving real-time feedback, and working across all areas of the ED
- Previous HCA experience is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Cerner documentation
- Skilled with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitoring systems
- Strong triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency assessment skills
- Ability to manage high patient ratios and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced ED
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-experience focus (AIDET)
- Familiarity with stroke protocols and NIHSS assessments
