Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and PCI procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedure efficiency
• Prepare and maintain the Cath/EP lab, including sterilization and instrument setup for EP studies, device implants and Watchman/LAAO procedures
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and rhythm throughout procedures, responding quickly to changes and supporting emergency interventions
• Operate and document procedures in MacLab accurately and promptly, ensuring complete clinical records
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
• Maintain inventory and equipment readiness, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and notify clinical engineering as needed
• Participate in the on-call rotation and support weekend coverage as required

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required; PALS preferred
• ARRT or RCIS certification with RTR license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Cath/EP lab experience, including exposure to PCI, EP ablation and device implants
• Proficient with MacLab documentation and Cath/EP lab workflows
• Demonstrated ability to function independently in a fast-paced cardiovascular environment
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills, with attention to sterile technique and safety protocols

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, PCI and EP studies
• Experience with device implants and Watchman/LAAO workflows
• Familiarity with MacLab documentation and cath lab equipment
• Proficiency in patient monitoring, hemodynamics and rhythm interpretation
• Sterile field setup and maintenance, instrument handling and procedural support
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses and tech staff under pressure
