Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities
- Take and record vital signs accurately and proactively report changes
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, promoting dignity and comfort
- Assist licensed nursing staff with treatments and documentation as directed
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
- Contribute to a positive care experience by anticipating patient needs
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- State-required clearances and ability to pass background checks
- Comfortable performing patient care tasks and following care plans
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to per diem scheduling
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational knowledge of basic patient care and hygiene
- Ability to take and document vital signs and observe patient condition
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
