Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and care
• Support safe patient transfers and ambulation while following proper body mechanics
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate feeding and hydration support as needed
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
• Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
• Ability to pass facility background checks and TB screening per policy
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations and varying acuity levels
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic charting
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Effective, respectful communication with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
