Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; schedule varies and may include any day of the week (including weekends). Night shift with flexibility to float to other units as needed.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in long-term and post-acute settings
- Perform IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessments with skill and attention to detail
- Tailor communication techniques for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia, using both verbal and non-verbal approaches
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support rehabilitation-focused care for short-term skilled patients recovering from surgery or injury
- Document care accurately and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Float between units as needed to ensure continuous, high-quality patient coverage
Qualifications
- Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license
- Associate's degree in Nursing (Associates in Nursing) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years previous RN experience preferred, ideally in long-term care, rehab, or post-acute settings
- Hands-on experience with IV therapy and wound care preferred
- Comfort and experience working with dementia/Alzheimer's populations preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and flexibility to cover 24/7 operations
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
