Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams across vascular, abdominal, pelvic, OB, small parts and pediatric studies
• Execute vascular studies including LEV/LEA, UEV/UEA and carotid imaging with precision
• Conduct OB scans including first trimester, BPP, UAD and growth assessments
• Perform transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic exams and small parts imaging (thyroid, scrotum)
• Scan neonatal and pediatric patients for heads, renals and appendicitis evaluations with appropriate technique and compassion
• Document findings accurately in the electronic charting systems (Epic, Synapse, Viewpoint) and collaborate with radiologists
• Maintain and operate GE ultrasound equipment and support efficient scanner/room utilization across 3 scanners/2 rooms
• Float to cover St. Francis Interquest weekend call and assist the team as staffing needs arise

Qualifications

• RDMS and RVT via ARDMS required (per department cert requirements)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience, with demonstrated skills in general, OB and vascular imaging
• Comfortable working night shifts and participating in weekend call rotation
• Able to work with pediatric patients and perform small parts and neonatal studies
• Willingness to float to other areas as needed and to follow department protocols
• Valid driver's license and ability to comply with the 60-mile radius submission requirement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong vascular imaging skills including LEV/LEA, UEV/UEA and carotid protocols
• Proficient in OB imaging: first trimester scans, BPP, UAD and growth assessments
• Experienced with transvaginal and transabdominal pelvic scanning
• Comfortable with small parts and pediatric ultrasound (thyroid, scrotum, neonatal heads, renals)
• Familiarity with Epic, Synapse and Viewpoint charting/PACS systems
• Experience using GE ultrasound equipment and optimizing image quality
• Ability to prioritize ~10 studies per day while maintaining excellent patient care and documentation
• Team collaborator who communicates clearly with radiologists, RPA staff and tech leads
