Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for K–12 students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support academic and social success
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP/504 planning and meetings
- Monitor caseload priorities and adjust interventions based on data-driven progress
- Travel between assigned sites as needed and provide consistent, high-quality services across locations
- Provide coaching and guidance to aides or support staff when appropriate
Qualifications
- Must hold a Colorado SLP license or be willing to obtain it before the start date
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience managing a K–12 caseload or strong familiarity with school-based services
- Comfort with traveling between school sites as required
- Ability to provide 3 professional references (3 total; at least 2 supervisory) prior to hire
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders (or equivalent graduate degree)
Knowledge & Skills
- K–12 caseload management and student-centered therapy planning
- Assessment and progress monitoring using school-appropriate tools
- Knowledge of IEP process and special education collaboration
- Strong verbal and written communication with families and school teams
- Time management and organizational skills to handle documentation and multiple sites
