Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilators and titrate ventilator settings to optimize patient respiratory status
- Perform advanced airway management including suctioning, tracheostomy care, and intubation assist
- Lead weaning plans from mechanical ventilation and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms promptly
- Deliver oxygen therapy, HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP and other respiratory treatments safely and effectively
- Document patient care accurately in Epic and maintain computerized clinical records
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate critical care
- Provide patient and family education on respiratory care, equipment and discharge planning
- Respond rapidly to emergency events in ICU and ED settings, applying adult critical care skills
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty (adult critical care / emergency department / acute care)
- Experience with ventilator management, oxygen therapy and airway management
- Familiarity with Epic charting and computerized documentation
- Comfort floating between units and adapting to variable patient ratios
- Travel experience not required — open to first-time travelers
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Troubleshooting high pressure alarms and ventilator-associated issues
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, CPAP and noninvasive ventilation
- Airway management: suctioning, trach care, ET tube familiarity, intubation assist
- Oxygen therapy delivery systems and respiratory treatments (nebulizers, T-piece, trach collar)
- Strong computerized documentation skills, especially Epic
- Ability to work in adult critical care and emergency department environments
