Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) in block schedule format; specific days vary by block, generally includes every other weekend

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric and adolescent patients in the PICU/NICU setting
- Manage and troubleshoot ventilators and advanced airway devices, ensuring safe weaning and alarm management
- Perform airway procedures including intubation assistance, extubation support, tracheostomy care, and ETT/NT suctioning
- Deliver and titrate oxygen therapies such as HFNC, CPAP, BiPAP and Bubble CPAP tailored to each patient
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered respiratory plans
- Educate families and caregivers on respiratory care plans and equipment use with empathy and clarity
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility protocols and safety standards
- Support unit needs during block schedules and contribute to a positive, team-first culture
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- PALS certification required
- NRP certification required for neonatal practice
- BLS certification (current)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience — PICU/NICU experience preferred and welcomed (1st timers OK)
- Experience working in a Trauma Level II pediatric facility preferred
- Ability to complete a 24-hour orientation and work block night schedules
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ventilator management skills (weaning, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms)
- Hands-on airway management: intubation assist, extubation, nasal/oral airway placement and suctioning
- Familiarity with neonatal and pediatric equipment: Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP
- Experience with HFNC devices (Optiflow Jr, Airvo 2) and oxygen therapy modalities
- Comfort with ventilator models listed in the facility: Draeger V800, VN800 and LTV 1200
- Skilled in nebulizer therapies (handheld, heated, trach collar) and suctioning (ETT, NT)
- Ability to communicate effectively with families and multi-disciplinary teams in high-acuity settings
