Shift Type: 3x12-hour Day shifts, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM, typically three days per week (exact weekdays vary), Day shift with on-call/standby rotation; on-call typically 6 evenings and one weekend on standby per 6 weeks with a 30-minute response requirement
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient monitoring during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Prepare procedural equipment and set up the room for safe, efficient workflows
- Serve as scrub or room circulator while maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures
- Place and monitor EKG/ECG leads and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias promptly
- Assist with vascular access prep and use vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
- Operate and support imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and Siemens systems
- Document care thoroughly in Epic and manage medications via Pyxis
- Respond to on-call activations within the required 30-minute window when assigned
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the United States, Washington license preferred; compact license honored at Swedish facilities
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience required
- Previous travel experience is required; first-time travelers are not accepted for this unit
- Familiarity with Epic charting and Pyxis medication systems
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterizations, Impella and IABP support
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCI RCIS is a plus
- Ability to work a 1:1 patient care environment and participate in call rotations
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required, ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab procedures
- Fluoroscopy and intra-procedural imaging knowledge, including Siemens equipment
- Sterile technique and room scrub/ circulator skills
- EKG lead placement and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Use of vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
- Proficiency with Epic documentation and Pyxis medication dispensing
- Clear SBAR communication and experience working with Rapid Response and Code teams
- Ability to set up and troubleshoot cath lab equipment and ensure accurate monitoring
