Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled respiratory therapy care during night shifts, delivering ventilator support and airway management when patients need you most
• Perform assessments and monitor respiratory status, interpreting ABGs and adjusting therapy in collaboration with the care team
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations and assist with codes and resuscitation efforts with confidence
• Administer treatments such as aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy according to protocols
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high standards of care
• Document patient care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses, physicians, and other clinicians to ensure seamless handoffs

Qualifications

• RRT required (will consider CRT with acute care experience)
• BLS required and ACLS required
• NRP preferred for pediatrics/neonatal exposure
• Active state respiratory therapy license or ability to obtain license; license/certificate verification required
• Compliance with required health screenings and immunizations (fit test, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza, TB testing or IGRA, Varicella, physical, and drug screen)
• Experience in acute care settings preferred; strong critical thinking and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy fundamentals and critical care principles
• Experience with ventilator management and oxygen therapy
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and adjust treatments accordingly
• Familiarity with emergency response and code procedures
• Comfort working independently overnight and communicating effectively during handoffs
• Willingness to complete facility-specific competency testing and skills checklists
