Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopy and cath lab imaging equipment to support diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Prepare and position patients safely and professionally for cath lab procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and techs to ensure smooth, efficient procedures
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during procedures with composure
• Maintain radiation safety practices and adhere to departmental protocols
• Complete accurate documentation and assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Participate in competency testing and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Active fluoroscopy license (as required by state) and ARRT registration preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Demonstrated Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience
• Ability to pass required health screenings: drug screen, TB testing, immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hep B
• Successful completion of required competency exams and skills checklists
• Fit test clearance and ability to meet facility-specific health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety principles
• Familiarity with cath lab and interventional radiology procedures
• Sterile technique and infection control practices
• Patient monitoring and basic life support during procedures
• Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
• Comfort with procedure room equipment setup and troubleshooting
