Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day); on-call rotation required: weekday call 4:00 PM - 7:30 AM (twice a week for 2 weeks each month) and one weekend call per month (Friday 4:00 PM - Monday 7:30 AM). Weekend requirement: every third weekend. Day shift with on-call rotation and rotating weekend coverage.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the provider during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, actively contributing to patient care and procedural success
• Scrub and circulate in IR/Cath Lab cases, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring procedural flow
• Perform accurate cardiac monitoring and telemetry to keep patients safe during procedures
• Place EKG leads and support hemodynamic monitoring when needed
• Respond to urgent and emergent cases (STEMI/IR calls) with timely callback expectations and effective teamwork
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment (GE MAC Lab, Philips IVUS/iFR, Angio Jet, Impella, IABP, ultrasound units, etc.)
• Participate equitably in call rotations and additional coverage to meet departmental needs
• Begin on-unit on Mondays until dimensions training is completed, and complete required unit orientation hours

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with strong emphasis on Interventional Radiology (90% IR experience required)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), and ARRT or RCIS
• Comfortable scrubbing and circulating in Cath Lab/IR settings and performing telemetry monitoring
• Ability to work call rotation (weekday and weekend) and meet callback expectations for urgent procedures
• Preferred: ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, RCIS with medical experience, EP device implant experience, kyphoplasties and biopsy exposure
• Travel experience: not required — locals accepted

Education

• Not specified in the job posting; relevant technologist training or radiologic/cardiac tech certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of IR and cardiology procedural workflows (left/right heart cath, stents, embolizations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biliary drainage, etc.)
• Strong sterile technique and ability to maintain a sterile field while scrubbing
• Proficiency with telemetry and intra-procedural monitoring
• Familiarity with advanced cath/IR equipment (IVUS/IVR, Angio Jet, EKOS, Atherectomy systems, ultrasound guidance, IABP, Impella)
• Good situational awareness and ability to prioritize during urgent/emergent cases
• Clear communication skills and collaborative bedside manner in interdisciplinary teams
