Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs and pulse oximetry accurately to inform clinical decisions
- Perform and record 12-lead EKG/ECG tests for cardiology clinic patients
- Room patients efficiently and record history, medications, and allergies in Epic
- Prepare patients and exam rooms so clinicians can focus on care
- Make follow-up phone calls and communicate clearly with patients and families
- Chart thoroughly in EPIC to maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
- Float within your skillset to support clinic needs while maintaining patient safety
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an adult outpatient cardiology setting
Qualifications
- MA-C required (MA-R is NOT accepted for this role)
- BLS certification required and current
- Previous experience with Epic and basic healthcare terminology
- Experience in adult outpatient clinic or cardiology preferred
- Reliable personal transportation for local assignments
- Locals preferred (50-mile rule) with interest in potential perm placement
- First-time travelers accepted — we welcome clinicians new to travel roles
- Available for scheduled interviews (provide three available interview times when submitting)
Education
- MA-C (Certified Medical Assistant) — required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with EPIC charting and electronic health records
- Skilled in obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and pulse oximetry
- Accurate in taking and recording vital signs
- Strong patient-rooming and patient communication skills
- Comfortable preparing exam rooms and assisting clinicians
- Familiar with cardiology clinic workflows and clinic specialties
- Able to document history, meds, and allergies clearly and concisely
